MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN VIDEO FOOTAGE!
Look alive sunshine! It’s been over a year since the tragic breakup of beloved alternative rock band My Chemical Romance, but the surprises have yet to cease. Recently, some never-before-seen footage of a young My Chemical Romance recording their debut album “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love” surfaced.
This mini-documentary features the original line up of My Chemical Romance members, including Gerard and Mikey Way, Ray Toro, and former drummer Matt Pelissier. Geoff Rickly, frontman of Thursday and the producer of “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love,” even makes a few appearances. If getting to see kid versions of your favorite rock stars isn’t already awesome enough, prepare yourself. Not only are the boys shown recording tracks like “Demolition Lovers” and “This Is The Best Day Ever,” there’s also plenty of footage of them driving around the suburbs of New Jersey, hanging out with friends, and messing around with the “super night shot” setting on their video camera.
Although this recovered video segment is a great blast from the past and a nostalgic treat for Killjoys everywhere, we’re also looking forward to the release of Gerard Way’s solo LP, “Hesitant Alien” which comes out at the end of the month. Of course, if you simply can’t wait that long, you can always check out Frank Iero’s new album “Stomachaches” which is available now on Staple Records.
